Meet Your Instructor – Claudie

Founder | Owner | Paddle Canada Flatwater SUP Instructor

Hey! I’m Claudie—the heart behind EBT SUP and your guide to all things stand-up paddleboarding!

I grew up in Quebec but found my true home in the Rockies in 2011, where nature, adventure, and water became my playground.

My love for SUP started in 2013 with a single paddle stroke, and that’s when everything changed.

From casual paddling to SUP racing, river SUP, and joining an amazing paddle community, my passion grew into something bigger than I ever imagined.

In 2023, I became a certified SUP instructor, and in 2024, I launched EBT SUP  school to share this incredible sport with others!

Why I Started EBT SUP

As an educator and paddleboard enthusiast, I saw a gap in accessible, high-quality SUP instruction—especially for families, youth, and new paddlers. I wanted to create a space where people could learn, feel empowered, and connect with nature in a safe and encouraging environment.

That’s how EBT SUP was born—out of a love for the water and a vision to make paddleboarding more inclusive, accessible, and community-driven.

Why SUP?

Paddleboarding has been life-changing and has given me so much more than just time on the water—it’s taught me confidence, perseverance, adaptability, happiness and learning to live and appreciate being in the moment.

My goal with the school is to show people that SUP is fun, accessible, exciting, and empowering!

What’s Next?

Taking on the Yukon River Quest (715 km of SUP racing!), exploring other long-distance SUP races around the world, and expanding EBT SUP to include Adaptive SUP programs—because everyone deserves the chance to experience the freedom and empowerment of being on the water.

But for now? I can’t wait to get YOU on the water! Let’s paddle, learn, and have an amazing time together. 🤙
